Ball end, bronze wound. Gauges are .042w, .032w, .024w, .018, .012, .008 (low to high).
NOTE: Although all Gold Tone manditars are tuned an octave higher than standard guitar tuning, this set is for the F-6 and A-6 which have a 15" scale.
The FGS set will not work for the Gold Tone GME-6, GM-6 or GM-6+. They have a 13-3/4" scale and use the BTS set (our # GTBTS).
